A cheap option to take a group to the Cairo sites from El Gouna is by taking a day trip there by bus. In reality, you will go to the Egyptian Museum and be amazed by the artifacts that were discovered in Tutankhamun’s tomb in the Luxor in Valley of the Kings. Your journey will culminate at the Giza Pyramids, home of the Great Sphinx and the Mummification Temple. Before you leave the area to go shopping close to the Sphinx, make sure you visit the Dream Stele.
Your Day Trip by Bus to Cairo from El Gouna begins with a pick-up in your hotel lobby so you can travel to Cairo with the rest of the party. After a brief pause for coffee, the bathroom, and breakfast at 6:00 am, you will depart for Cairo. When you arrive, one of the largest museums in the world dedicated to ancient Egyptian artifacts will be your first stop on the Cairo sightseeing trip. In fact, the sheer number of objects you will view in the Museum will astound you. From distinctive sculptures like the diorite Chephren statue, the Hatshepsut Sphinx, the Cheops statue, the Ramesses colossi, the enormous sarcophagi, to papyri, stele, false doors, and jewelry.
